Spang Engineered Solutions, a business unit of Spang and Company, has acquired Wirebenders, Inc., a magnetics component manufacturer located in Phoenix, Arizona. The purchase increases the reach of SES expanding their presence in the aerospace and defense industries.
Established in 1979, Wirebenders has specialized in small transformers and inductors as well as coaxial cable assemblies serving the aerospace, defense and medical industries. Its long history of manufacturing high quality, high reliability magnetic components strengthen the ability of SES to serve existing and new customers, it notes. The Wirebenders team brings unique expertise in the manufacture of magnetic devices and coaxial cable assemblies. Coaxial cable assemblies will be an additional product line that it can expand by offering both US and overseas production to balance delivery time and competitive pricing. In addition to the manufacturing capabilities, SES will now offer ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 certified manufacturing.
