Cergen Technology, a manufacturer of magnetic cores and components in China, is making a major expansion at its new facility in Jiaxing southwest of Shanghai that is expected to go into operation this year. Construction of the 40,000 square meter expansion to its factories in China has been underway since mid-2024.
The aim is to support further growth of the company which operates several divisions supplying automotive manufacturers, energy equipment manufacturers and other industries with an array of products for power electronics. Products in the Magnetics Division include nanocrystalline or ferrite cores in numerous configurations, inductors, chokes and engineered filters with a particular focus on electromagnetic compatibility applications.
The company’s inductive and EMC magnetic products facilitate the use of innovative, faster-switching capabilities including IGBT, SiC MOSFET, and GaN technologies, enabling electrical energy to be controlled and converted quickly and safely with low conversion losses. Also a manufacturer of DC switchgear, its Power Connect products enable high-power DC connections while meeting increasing safety demands in low-voltage DC circuits.
