Exxelia, has opened a new manufacturing site in Morocco for expanding the production of its magnetic and other electronic components and subsystems. An inauguration ceremony was held at the custom-built 10,000 square meter facility in November. The state-of-the art plant is equipped with a 200 square meter clean room and is fully air conditioned, supporting its adoption of Hoshin methods for lean manufacturing.
Main activities at the plant will be to conduct internal subcontracting for the company’s French and U.S. sites as well as electronic assembly for external customers. The facility is equipped for manufacturing a range of electronic components including ceramic capacitors, electrolytic components, film products, stators, magnetic products, position sensors, and slip rings. Services for external customers include the winding of transformers and chokes, assembly of rotors and stators, wiring and microwave micro-electronic assembly.
