Brugger Magnetsysteme Introduces New Designs for Holding Power

Brugger Magnetsysteme, a producer of magnet assemblies and a specialist in molded magnets, has recently added two new lines to its array of products for workholding applications. Suction cup magnet systems are innovative designs for extra holding power, and multiple new iterations have been added to its line of magnets with hooks and eyelets.

The vakuLINE series combines strong magnet systems with the power of vacuum force. Three different diameters are available –90 mm, 125 mm and 180 mm, each with an internal or external thread. The combination with a soft suction cup creates an additional vacuum which can provide additional protection for the magnetic system if, for example, the magnetic contact is briefly lost due to a jerky movement.

A durable rubber coating with soft sealing lip protects sensitive surfaces from scratches and at the same time increases adhesion to prevent slipping. Key applications include attaching measurement technology, technical components, sensors or tools.

Several new designs using neodymium magnets for high adhesive force have been added that expand the company’s line of magnetic systems with hooks or eyelets. Ideal for hanging up all kinds of objects securely, the new systems include classic pot magnets with galvanized steel housing or rubber-coated magnet systems, all ready to use with hooks or eyelets. The eyelet or hook can be unscrewed. The rubberized magnets are available in round and rectangular shapes.

Located in Hardt, in southern Germany south of Stuttgart, Brugger has provided products in the field of magnetism for more than fifty years, especially for permanent magnets fulfilling a wide range of applications including magnetic filters and magnetic wheels for industrial separations. The production of individual molds as well as the embedding and encasing of magnets in materials such as plastic, rubber and metal are core competencies including processes such as injection molding, metal processing, pressing, punching and bonding.
