Alloy Powder from DMEGC Magnetics and Ferricor Has Low Power Loss

DSG is a new magnetic alloy powder material with low power loss available from DMEGC Magnetics of China and Ferricor, its sales and technical representative company in Slovenia. The alloy is an iron silicon material with special additives allowing it to reach flux density of 1.1 Tesla and offer low core losses of  100mW/cm3 at 100mT/50kHz.

The material has good temperature stability and low magnetostriction coefficient, say the companies. Its applications include electric and hybrid vehicles, power supply inductor, solar inverters and power factor correction inductors. It can be utilized in standard powder core shapes or custom designs.

Hengdian Group DMEGC Magnetics Co., Ltd., a major manufacturer of magnetic materials and components, is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of ferrite cores and a developer of ferrite materials, pictured above. With more than 16,000 employees, it also manufactures renewable energy products and electronic components.
