Micron Industries Corp. has added a 12-volt secondary for lighting and control power to its Impervitran line of industrial control transformers. Like all units in the Impervitran line, these are epoxy encapsulated for robustness in industrial settings.
The company developed the industrys first epoxy encapsulated control transformer, a feature which has since been adopted by many manufacturers. The Impervitran line ranges from 25VA through 5,000 VA in any 600 volt class voltage combination.
Over its 50-year history as a transformer manufacturer, Micron has evolved into a diversified manufacturer of control magnetics and custom windings from its headquarters in Oak Brook, IL and manufacturing facilities in Sterling, IL. While it now offers inventories of many standard catalog items, over 75% of its annual sales involve custom designs for specific OEM customers.
