Micro-Epsilon has added new options to its eddyNCDT 3060 inductive displacement measuring system, making it more flexible and opening new fields of application in multiple industries. With the added measuring ranges of 6 mm and 8 mm, the sensor portfolio now comprises more than 400 models.
Measurement tasks include precise gap monitoring, determination of shaft movements and monitoring the radial run out of machine parts and drive components. The 5-point linearization, which is possible using the DT3061 controller, enables even higher measurement accuracy. Furthermore, the DT3061 offers switching and temperature outputs and allows the storage of multiple characteristic curves.
The non-contact, inductive displacement sensors operate according to the eddy current measuring principle. Unlike conventional, inductive displacement sensors, they measure on ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic materials providing high accuracy, frequency response and temperature stability. Due to their immunity to oil, dirt, pressure and temperature, the sensors are primarily used for integration in machines and facilities. For more info, see www.micro-epsilon.com.
