Magment GmbH, a Munich-based developer of products that apply its magnetic concrete technology for wireless charging, has established two companies in the U.S. help grow its business in North, Central and South America. Magment Americas will serve business-to-business markets while Magment Federal will serve government markets with aims toward expanding the company’s offerings, creating new pilot programs and increasing its global footprint.
“The expansion into the Americas in the next logical step as we already have several growing partnerships and agreements in the area and are looking to expand our working relationships as well as to become more agile, said Mauricio Esguerra, president and CEO. A stateside presence will provide stability, anchor business growth and improve visibility for possible investors from the Americas.”
Last year the company launched MagDock, an intelligent micromobility docking and wireless charging station for e-scooters. Plans called for the first series to be delivered to lighthouse projects in Munich, Paris, Purdue University in the USA, Tel Aviv, and Thessaloniki in Greece.
Another product from the company is MagPad, a wireless power transmitter pad which can be installed either on-ground or in-ground. The transmitters can be installed at public parking lots or private garages featuring high robustness and durability at low costs, suitable for charging electric cars, automatic guided vehicles and intralogistics vehicles.
