Lake Shore showcasing VSMs and magnetic test instruments at ICM conference

Visit Booth 4 to learn more about precision systems and teslameters for magnetics research

Columbus, OH (July 10, 2018) Lake Shore Cryotronics will be showcasing their award-winning 8600 Series VSM systems and a soon-to-be-released line of high-precision teslameters at next weeks International Conference on Magnetism (ICM) in San Francisco.

Representatives will be on-hand specifically to discuss how the 8600 Series excels at characterizing magnetic samples over a wide (4.2 to 1273 K) temperature range and at fields to 3.26 T, and how it raises the bar for VSM performance in terms of moment sensitivity (

Extremely fast data acquisition cycles enable researchers to perform more science in less time, particularly when studying low-moment materials (ultra-thin magnetic multilayers, nanoscale magnetic materials, dilute magnetic semiconductors, and paleomagnets). The 8600 Series VSMs also execute first order reversal curve (FORC) measurements quickly, flying through complex FORC data collection sequences in a fraction of the time required on previous systems.
In addition, for ICM attendees interested in magnetic test instrumentation, Lake Shore will be answering questions about the new F71 multi-axis and F41 single-axis teslameters, which offer a new level of precision for field measurement applications (an F71 demo unit with compatible Hall probes will be on display).

Featuring Lake Shores unique TruZero technology, the F71/F41 instruments offer fast, accurate field measurement without issues relating to offset errors and drift effects. Users can start taking measurements immediately and keep measuring with confidence hour after hour, as there is no need to ever re-zero the probes.

The teslameters are also very simple to use. An uncluttered touchscreen interface uses modern icons, gestures, and navigation techniques instantly familiar to any smartphone user — and the unique TiltView screen enables comfortable instrument viewing and operation, whether on a bench or mounted at the bottom of a rack.
