High Accuracy Pressure Transducer for OEM Applications

May14_MSMeasurement Specialties now offers the U5200, a cost-effective industrial pressure transducer for OEM applications requiring high accuracy. The new unit incorporates a stainless steel housing with a large selection of threaded fittings, electrical connectors and cable options to give designers a reliable transducer tailored to their specific application environment.

A variety of OEM applications, from HVACR controls, pumps and compressors to off-road heavy equipment, agricultural equipment and pressurized tank systems, benefit from the compact size and modular design of the rugged U5200. Because it is available in low quantities at a competitive price point, the new transducer is well suited for test and measurement applications, as well.

The U5200 accurately measures either liquid or gas pressure in difficult media such as contaminated water, steam and mildly corrosive fluids. The unit is weatherproof, comes in gage, sealed or absolute configurations, and exceeds current heavy industrial CE requirements, including surge protection.

Measurement Specialties’ unique UltraStable technology enables the pressure transducer to provide improved performance and long-term stability over an extended temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.   Internal circuitry is protected from reverse wiring at input and short circuit at output for added reliability.

The U5200 offers accuracy of up to ±0.1 percent F.S. BFSL in addition to a total error band (TEB) of up to ±0.75 percent F.S.  Standard pressures range from 0 psi to 2 psi through 0 psi to 10,000 psi.

Maximum current consumption is 5 mA.  The U5200 withstands shock to 50 g for 11 msec half sine per MIL-STD-202G as well as vibration of ±20 g according to MIL-STD-801C.

Typical pricing for a U5200 starts at $60.48 per unit in quantities of 100.  Final pricing and delivery time dependent upon quantity ordered and sensor configuration.
