Acquisitions Grow Portfolio of Magnetic Instrumentation at Spectris 

The Spectris portfolio of analytical instrumentation for evaluating magnetic materials is growing dramatically by acquisition as several recent deals involving Micromeritics, SciAps and Malvern Panalytical come together. The combined companies in the Spectris Group, which also include HBK, Particle Measuring Systems and Servomex, now cover a greater range of capabilities in particle characterization, materials analysis and testing involving magnetic materials and effects. SRC Lines Up Feedstock for New Processing Plant in Canada Amidst Resolute Government Backing to Seize Economic Opportunity in Rare Earths & Magnet Production Domestically 

The Saskatchewan Research Council is lining up supplies of feedstock to funnel into its new rare earth processing facility in central Canada that is aimed to catalyze a mines-to-magnet supply chain for the country. In recent moves it has forged agreements with Hung Thinh Group to import rare earth carbonate from Vietnam and purchased $3 million worth of stockpiled rare earth material from Vital Metals – adding to previously arranged supplies to come from Commerce Resources’ Ashram property near Quebec.
