ABC Taiwan Electronics Acquires Tesla Magnetics in Silicon Valley

Opening the door for gaining more business from high tech companies in Silicon Valley, ABC Taiwan Electronics Corp. has acquired Tesla Magnetics located in Santa Clara, CA. 

“We have a clear vision and ambition and that is to be a global company in passive component 
industry,” according to Joseph Hu, CEO. “Our aspiration is to be a company that can supply end to end solutions from products all the way through to service and technical advice for high tech industry.

Tesla is a long-term R&D, marketing and product partner of ABC, noted Hu. The acquisition will provide a wider range of products selection with short lead time and local support in Asia and USA to facilitate the need for logistics and supplier chain management, he said. Tesla provides standard and custom magnetics particularly for semiconductor manufacturers.

“We are building a new company with enhanced experience and expertise. Our acquisitionwill create a more comprehensive infrastructure with faster response time to get prepared for ever  changing trade or technical issues,” said Hu.

Founded in 1979, ABC is a publicly held company based in Taoyuan that concentrates on the research, development and production of Inductors for the global market. The company has four factories in China and Taiwan. Its headquarters facility is shown at top and its other Taiwan plant, above.
