Baiqida Focuses on AI to Advance Magnet Production Machinery & International Patents to Pursue Global Market

Hydrogen decrepitation is a crucial, energy-efficient process for manufacturing Neodymium magnets, using hydrogen to break down sintered alloy ingots into fine powder by targeting grain boundaries, avoiding intensive mechanical crushing. It can improve production efficiency by 25% and enable sustainable, short-loop recycling of NdFeB magnets.

Among the few companies with expertise in the field, Chinese machinery maker Baiqida is applying artificial intelligence to its magnet production machines and acquiring international patents in pursuit of expanding its penetration of global markets where new magnet factories are emerging. Shown at top is its fully electric magnetic field forming press. First developed in 2016 and since expanded to several models for specific applications, the system is evolving from manual parameter adjustment to self-learning and automatic process adjustment.

In one move last year Baiqida inaugurated the Rare Earth Permanent Magnet Hydrogen Decrepitation Process Model Joint Laboratory, jointly established by its subsidiary Baotou Jinchuang with the Digital Intelligence Industry School of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, to advance AI in its products. In other moves, it secured patents in both the U.S. and Europe for its machinery, laying the groundwork for future international expansion to pursue its goal of becoming a global leader in intelligent equipment for permanent magnet materials.

Another Baiqida machine is its Multi-Pole Oriented Magnetic Field Forming Press. It uses the company’s self-developed servo electric cylinder technology and overall water-cooled coils with temperature detection and constant temperature control. The press is mainly used for producing radial multi-pole ring magnets.

Founded in 2010, Baiqida Intelligent Technology (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. specializes in the research, development and manufacturing of fully automatic electric material feeding and palletizing precision forming complete equipment, electric and hydraulic magnetic field forming presses, large-tonnage electric precision forming presses, multi-station continuous hydrogen decrepitation furnaces, dehydrogenation furnaces, and other powder processing equipment. Currently, its business covers key industrial regions in China, with branch offices established in locations such as Ningbo High-tech Zone, Baotou in Inner Mongolia, and Yantai in Shandong. See www.nbbqd.com
