Sinomag Technology, one of China’s largest producers of permanent magnet ferrite and soft magnetic products, has begun a new expansion to its sprawling production base and, also, recently received a key supplier award from Bosch.
Located west of Shanghai in the area of Hefei where Sinomag is headquartered, the new plant will be equipped for the research and manufacture of high-frequency magnetic devices by its subsidiary Anhui Sinomag New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The project is located in the Lujiang Science and Technology Park of Hefei High tech Zone.
Four new buildings are planned for reaching an annual production of 15,000 tons of dry pressed powder of permanent ferrite, 20 million brushless electronic commutators, 10,000 tons of high-performance wet pressed magnetic tile automatic production line, and the annual production line of 30 million high-end stator casings. Construction of the first phase began in June 2022 and is expected to be put into operation in December 2023. The second phase will start construction in 2024 and is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2025.
Founded in 1998, Anhui Sinomag Technology Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the research, development, production and sales of permanent magnet ferrite and soft magnetic series products. The annual output of permanent ferrite magnetic tile is more than 37,000 tons, coming from are seven production bases and supported by five sales centers worldwide. Its wet pressed permanent ferrite magnetic tile is a core component of direct current motors widely used in various automotive applications such as drives, electrification systems, starting motors, ABS motors, wiper motors and window motors.
With the application and popularization of frequency conversion technology, high-performance wet pressed permanent ferrite magnetic products also are used in the industrial upgrading of the household appliance industry. Since 2020, Sinomag has been actively developing soft magnetic projects. Several teams and production lines have been set up for the preparation of soft magnetic powder, the production of metal magnetic powder cores and ferrite powder cores, and the development of components such as photovoltaic inductors and chip inductors. Relying on years of expertise in the permanent magnet industry, we are making every effort to build a soft magnetic industry chain, says the company.
The award from Bosch was conferred at that company’s Asia Pacific Supplier Conference in November, where Sinomag was named as a “Bosch Notable Supplier” in 2022. Sinomag said it will explore a new cooperation mode with Bosch in the post-epidemic era while continuing to respond to and cooperate with Bosch Group’s corporate goals of energy conservation, emission reduction and sustainable development.
