Adams Magnetic Products Co. has annouced the promotion of John Maisch from Business Development Manager to General Manager. As General Manager, Maisch will report to Adams’ COO, John Cosmas, and will oversee the company’s sales, operations, engineering, marketing, and supply chain departments.
A veteran of the magnetics industry, Maisch joined the Adams team in 2018 and was tasked with increasing sales via direct collaboration with customers’ engineering, product, and purchasing departments. He accomplished this goal, providing existing and new clients with design and procurement support for all types of permanent magnets and custom magnetic assemblies, from simple to high-tech.
“Adams has experienced exponential growth over the last five years, due in no small part to John’s strategic vision, commitment, and extensive background in magnetics,” says Adams COO John Cosmas. “I have every confidence that John will continue to grow our customer base, project load, and bottom line in his new role as General Manager.”
Maisch has been a key player in the magnetics industry for over 30 years. Prior to joining Adams, Maisch served as General Manager, Production Manager, and Business Development Manager for compression-bonded neodymium magnets at Dexter Magnetics. Maisch also worked as a senior test engineer for defense contractor Bulova Technologies (manufacturer of artillery fuzes and missile safety and arming devices), where he gained considerable experience and insight into electromechanical manufacturing, environmental and high-reliability acceptance testing, proposal preparation, and transposition and flow down of requirements.
“Adams customers are at the core of every decision we make at Adams. President Scott Lewis, and COO John Cosmas, have ingrained that customer service-oriented mindset at all levels of our organization. I am equally thrilled and humbled to have the opportunity to continue serving our tremendous customers in this new capacity,” says Maisch.
Maisch has an M.B.A. from Long Island University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Widener University in Pennsylvania. He and his wife enjoy spending time with their four grown children, two dogs, extended family, and friends. They enjoy live music, kayaking on the Fox River, biking, and hiking. Through his church, he volunteers for multiple food ministries and serves as a volunteer coordinator for Hesed House in Aurora, IL.
