NEMA Publishes Supplement for Round Film-Insulated Magnet Wire

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) published Supplement to ANSI/NEMA MW 1000 Reference Requirements for Round Film-insulated Magnet Wire. This document offers users a quick and convenient way to reference the most common performance requirements for film-insulated magnet wire, when the MW 1000 general requirements and test procedures associated with those requirements are already known.

The supplement, developed by the NEMA Magnet Wire Section Committee, is a comprehensive volume of general requirements, product specifications, and test procedures for the manufacture and packaging of magnet wire. It is continually developed and maintained to ensure that specifications and test procedures reflect evolving magnet wire end-user requirements, as well as state-of-the-art magnet wire manufacturing technologies. In the case of any discrepancies between this supplement and MW 1000, the requirements in MW 1000 prevail.

Supplement to ANSI/NEMA MW 1000 Reference Requirements for Round Film-insulated Magnet Wire may be downloaded $36 or purchased in hard copy for $36 on the NEMA website.

The supplement is available in PDF format for use on a variety of e-reader devices, and network versions are available for multiple users in single or multiple locations.
