Magnets for Horse Mobility and Therapy from England

While the therapeutic power of magnets remains a subject of scientific debate, many horse owners believe in their efficacy. From all over the world they turn to Equilibrium Products of England for its thoughtully designed wraps and blankets to position magnets precisely where desired. They are designed to support mobility, aid joint function and maintain healthy tendons. […]

Novel Way to Manipulate Exotic Materials

An advance in a topological insulator material — whose interior behaves like an electrical insulator but whose surface behaves like a conductor — could revolutionize the fields of next-generation electronics and quantum computing, according to scientists at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. […]

Magnet Recycling Pays Off

Magnets are valuable components. Although functional magnet recycling methods have been developed in recent years, they have not yet been applied in practice and magnets continue to be melted down into steel scrap. Researchers at the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Materials Recycling and Resource
Strategies IWKS provide good arguments for why this should change in the future […]

Superconducting Magnets Built by Tokamak Energy for Fusion Power

Creating clean, sustainable fusion energy requires strong magnetic fields to confine and control the extremely hot, positively-charged hydrogen fuel, which becomes a plasma several times hotter than the sun. Now, Tokamak Energy in the UK has built a world-first set of new generation high temperature superconducting (HTS) magnets to be assembled and tested in fusion power plant scenarios. The magnets use HTS tape from Furukawa Electric and SuperPower, a New York-based affiliate in the Furukawa Electric Group. […]
