The X5 miniature inductive sensors range from Telemecanique Sensors, now a Yageo brand, has evolved to include diameter 5 threaded products and diameter 4 smooth products with standard sensing distance or increased sensing distance in both cable version or M8 connector version.
Their compactness makes them particularly suitable for machines offering very limited space for installation such as in electronics or material working applications. Employing inductive technology, the new sensors have high switching frequencies up to 5000 HZ and fit the requirements of most typical material working applications. Sensing distance is longer, up to 1.5mm for accurate and reliable position detection. For robustness, the full miniature range have been upgraded to stainless steel housing with IP67 rating which ensures reliable and stable performance in harsh industrial environments.
Formerly owned by Schneider Electric, the Telemecanique Sensors business was acquired by Taiwanese electronic component manufacturer Yageo about three years ago for approximately €723 million. Yageo is a global provider of passive-component solutions with a product portfolio of resistors, ceramic capacitors, ferrites, high frequency products, aluminum capacitors, inductors and others, mainly used in consumer electronics, telecommunication, power and automotive sectors.
