Aisin Develops Ultrahigh-Efficiency Motor Using Soft Magnetic Alloy from Tohoku Magnet Institute 

Aisin Corporation has developed an ultrahigh-efficiency motor jointly with Tohoku Magnet Institute using TMI’s newly developed nanocrystalline soft magnetic alloy, Nanomet. Aisin invested in TMI in June of last year and a prototype of the motor was exhibited at the Automotive Engineering Exposition 2023, held recently in Yokohama. Hall-effect Thrusters Highlight Magnetic Technologies at SpaceTech Expo-Europe 

Always a showcase for cutting-edge technology in aerospace progress, SpaceTech Expo-Europe will have an assortment of magnetics-based solutions on display when it opens in Bremen, Germany on November 14. Advancements in propulsion using Hall-effect thrusters for microsatellites, magnetometry and component designs will be among the solutions exhibited. Beckman Life Sciences Expands New R&D Hub in Colorado 

Beckman Life Sciences, a leader in magnetic separations technology for laboratories, has completed the first phase of its new research and development hub in Colorado with the opening of a $10 million facility in Loveland and now is working on a second phase set for opening next year.
