Richardson RFPD, Inc. has announced the availability and full design support capabilities for a new line of high energy density DC link capacitors from Cornell Dubilier.
The 948D series uses a fused, segmented metallization pattern, offering greater open circuit protection, increased reliability, and improved control of capacitance loss than competitive types. The new capacitors are well-suited for DC link applications where high bus voltage, high capacitance, and high ripple current are required for smoothing and filtering, including larger inverter systems like wind and solar energy, fuel cell, and traction applications.
